It’s that time again, a new review ready for a new year. 2017 is lining up to be a fantastic year for gaming and it all begins with the launch of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Mega Battle in January.
The game is set to be a creative and modern re-imaging of the classic multiplayer beat-em-up genre. So for those who are unfamiliar with the former style, you essentially have to team up with friends and improve your rangers, then fight your way though the levels “stylized after classic Mighty Morphin Power Rangers episodes!”
A quick watch of the trailer above shows they’re going back to retro gaming ith a modern edge. The classic visuals and bold colours that were so popular in the 1990s are back on the screens and if the clip is anything to go by, it means you’re probably set to relive your childhood. This game is already pretty high up in the charts and that’s just from poepl pre-ordering it. There’s no doubt about it, Power Rangers built up a solid reputation in the 1990s and there will literally be at least a million peple waiting for the launch of this game for their Xbox or Playstation 4.
With each of the levels set on a old episode from the vintage television show, you’ll find the dialogue, details and cutscenes very reminiscent of your childhood years. When it comes to fighting and the actual gameplay, we don’t know too much yet, however, you can use weapons and martial arts, leveling up until you eventually unlock new attacks and weapons. You can also unlock these Tommy Oliver in his Green and White Ranger costumes, as well as Rocky, Aisha, Adam, and Kat. This is one game that’s surely not to be missed by any die-hard Power Rangers fan, so be sure to preorder it now or you could miss out on the first batch.
