Monster Bag: This game is not for me

Monster Bag: This game is not for me

Usually I like a game or I don’t; maybe with a little bit of grey area in the middle where I can’t decide or “meh, it’s ok” is my overriding emotion. Very, very, rarely I find a game that I know simply isn’t for me. The increasing fan service nonsense of the JRPG genre has alienated me, while the 4X strategy genre is something I recognise as good but something I simply cannot get into. A game I have found specifically that doesn’t fit me is Monster Bag for the Playstation Vita.
Available as part of Sony’s Playstation Plus programme as one of the Instant Game Collection I downloaded it out of habit (as I do with all of these titles to check them out.) The game is a simple puzzle game; you control a little monster that is trying to catch up with its owner, a cute little girl that gets herself into all kinds of problems. The game has a sense of humour, however, that is just not for me. Over the top violence that wouldn’t look out of place in a South Park episode. Am I too old for this?
