Infinity Ward: CoD: Ghosts is 720p on Xbox One, 1080p on PS4

Infinity Ward executive producer Mark Rubin today laid to rest a lingering rumor concerning the comparative resolutions for Call of Duty: Ghosts on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

On Twitter, he confirmed that the sport is native 720p on Xbox One (upscaled to 1080p), while the PS4 version is native 1080p.

“Hey, been at the road last couple weeks so haven’t had a raffle to update, but desired to confirm that for Xbox One we’re 1080p upscaled from 720p. And, we’re native 1080p on PS4,” Rubin said.

“We optimized each console to hit 60 FPS and the sport looks great on both,” he added. “Still at the road, but glad to determine the good reception to Extinction. Can’t look ahead to next week’s launch.”

Microsoft director of product planning Albert Penello said last week that decision of Duty: Ghosts on Xbox One “looks f’n amazing.”

Call of Duty: Ghosts launches for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC, and Wii U next Tuesday, November 5. The Xbox One and PS4 versions might be available as launch titles later within the month.
