While in standby mode, the Xbox One will boot up via Kinect voice command, sign users in through facial recognition, and arrive on the dashboard in about 13 seconds, Microsoft’s Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb demonstrates in a brand new Instagram video.
The video cuts out before it may be determined if Major Nelson is hooked up to Xbox Live, which could take extra time. Regardless of the case, Major Nelson boasts that booting up the Xbox One from standby mode “happens faster than it takes in finding your controller.”
It is unclear how long it’ll take for the Xbox One besides up from a wholly off state.
The Xbox One launches publicly on November 22 in 13 territories internationally. GameSpot may have more coverage at the next-generation system inside the days leading as much as launch.
