Capcom are keeping quiet about when the remake version of the Revil2 game will be due for release, but they are promising to recapture the original horror experience with a far more in-depth and horrifying experience. In essence it’s a whole new game with a whole new framework built with a similar theme to the original Revil2 game, just better graphics, better monsters, more places to explore and die; not to mention even more nastier versions of the bosses we once knew and loved/hated.
We are just going to have to wait and see what the game looks like when they do decide to update us and release it soon after, but not really holding out on the game if basing the remake of the first REvil game on Nintendo Wii, which was a pix and mix of feelings and did not really feel like we were getting much extra other than a few or more in-game annoyances from un-killable, or difficult to kill creatures that were more of an inconvenience than anything else; the Crimson Heads and that muggly Lisa Trevor things that just would not die.
The hopes and dreams of ever seeing REvil1, REvil2, and REvil3 all mashed together in a massive procedurally generated game environment with different story lines for each of the different characters available is probably unlikely, as Capcom seem to have lost direction with where the games are heading and even lost a few Die-Hard REvil fans along the way. But it is something we can hope to see in the future, as Games Like “The legend of Zelda” have started to go toward procedurally generated environments and have created a game that can be completed in any order, which is due for Release sometime this year; No Man’s sky is a good example to go by, that game is fully procedurally generated.
