Halo: The Master Chief Collection has recently released on Microsoft’s XBox One to rave reviews from the press, but mixed reception from players. The price to value ratio is very good for players and prospective buyers though; £40 or $60 will net you Halo, Halo 2 Anniversary Edition, Halo 3 and Halo 4, each of which retailed at that full price when they launched.
Each game is excellent in it’s own right, with players having preferences for the first and third Halo games. The online component has struggled though; with many players complaining of poor game quality, losing connection to games and struggling to connect with friends online. 343 Studios, the creators of this trilogy, have apologised and offered Xbox Live Rewards and Halo 3: ODST by way of an apology to buyers.
You won’t find Halo on the Playstation 4, and it’s one, very good reason, to consider the Xbox One.
